Our Team

Andrew heads up the Employment Team and has a wealth of experience on employment law issues, both in relation to contentious and non-contentious matters. Andrew has particular experience in dealing with high value senior executive severance claims and related breach of contract disputes. Andrew is equally comfortable dealing with compensation claims in both the High Court or Employment Tribunal. Andrew has been involved in a number of high profile NHS disciplinary enquiries concerning serious professional mis-conduct claims involving senior consultants.
Andrew is a qualified mediator and brings these specialist skills to bear in ensuring that disputes are settled quickly and cost-effectively.
Andrew is a nominated leader in his field in the latest editions of both Chambers and Legal 500 directories. |

Tim Davies - Solicitor

Tim studied law at Warwick University before returning to the South West to complete his Legal Practice Course at the University of West England, Bristol.
Tim qualified in 2001 at Porter Dodson solicitors and specialised in employment law for 18 months before joining the team at Michelmores in September 2002. Tim undertakes a diverse range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters on behalf of a rapidly increasing client base.
Tim has extensive experience in discrimination cases, unfair and wrongful dismissal and advising upon collective consultation requirements in connection with large scale redundancies, reorganisations and transfers of business. Outside of work, Tim plays the piano and enjoys a round of golf. |
James studied Biological Sciences at the University of Wales, Cardiff, followed by Law at the University of Exeter before joining Michelmores in 2003.
James has experience in advising on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including advising on corporate support issues arising out of share and asset sales and purchases and outsourcing, particularly in relation to employment warranties, indemnities and TUPE issues.
When not at work James enjoys surfing, scuba diving, paintballing and power kiting. James plays Waterpolo for Newton Abbot and Exeter City, whilst coaching Devon County teams and assisting national youth squad coaching. |
